NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Management


The NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Management enables learners to develop their skills in leadership and management.  The programme is suited to those who are new to management as well as those who lead and manage teams and who wish to develop and consolidate their knowledge in order to achieve a recognised qualification.  The award is suitable for those who manage whole teams, for room leaders, and for those with responsibility for areas of practice, e.g., outdoor learning.


This Diploma is delivered as an apprenticeship and has been designed to meet the needs of those working in care and/or education.


Upon achievement of this qualification learners may progress onto Level 5 Management programmes.

Entry requirements

Learners must be at least 16 years old and they must be in a position where they are managing areas of practice.



Learners will need to be working in paid employment. 



The qualification is delivered as a tutored programme which requires learners to attend workshops every 8 weeks.  Learners will be assessed by a qualified assessor who will assess competency in the workplace.  Knowledge will be assessed via the submission of written assignments.



The award takes approximately 12 - 15 months to complete, which includes all elements of the apprenticeship.



The programme is free to learners aged 16 - 18 years of age and may be free to those over 18 who are eligable for apprenticeship funding.


For learners who take the non-apprenticeship route (self-funded learners) a fee of £1995 will be charged plus VAT at 20%
