Managing Director

Deborah is the owner and Centre Manager of FutureWorks. Deborah has many years experience in providing high quality services for young children and their families; she owned her own nurseries until she purchased FutureWorks in 2001 and she draws upon her childcare experience to deliver high quality training opportunities to childcare practitioners working with children in their early years.

Beatrice Mundle


Like her colleagues, Beatrice has a wide and varied experience of working in the field of childcare including: Registered Childminder (Outstanding), Children's Centre Deputy Manager, Special Educational Needs Coordinator and After-school Club Manager. Beatrice is currently studying for a Degree in Early Childhood Studies.

Elizabeth Cooke, BA (Hons) Open

Internal Quality Assurer

Liz's experience within childcare and education includes the following roles: pre-school practitioner; Ofsted Inspector; Homestart Development Worker; Workforce Development Consultant; Lecturer; Contact Supervisor; and Doula providing support for families around the time of a child's birth.  Liz uses her knowledge and skills to effectively support FutureWorks in continually developing its services.

Roy Sawh

Finance Director and Safety Officer

Roy has 33 years experience of working as a Fire Officer for the London Fire Brigade where he delivered training for the fire-fighters he managed.  Roy brings his practical common sence and fire-fighter humour to the training he delivers.  Roy also manages all of the company's financial affairs.

Frances Steptoe, MA (Ed)

Lead Assessor and Internal Moderator

Frances has worked in the field of childcare and education since 1978 delivering a wide range of services to children and their families. Her roles have included teaching, Early Years Advisor, Ofsted Inspector, SEN Support, and NVQ Assessor and Trainer.  Frances leads the Assessment Team at FutureWorks supporting the assessment and tutoring processes for the centre.

Lesley Jefford, BA (Hons)


Lesley holds a First Class Honours Degree in Childhood Studies and Prepare to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS). She is a qualified N.N.E.B. with over 24 years’ experience including roles in Neo-natal Care undertaken at St. Thomas’ Hospital, Day Nurseries, Schools specifically supporting children with behavioural needs, Pre-Schools and Children Centres providing a wide range of services to families. In addition she has secretarial and commercial experience with over 8 years as a Personal Executive Assistant.

Lianne Lewis

Office Manager

As our Office and Customer Services Manager,  Lianne provides support for the assessment team and she is the first contact point for learners.  Lianne has experience of working in day nurseries, pre-schools and as a childminder (outstanding) and is due to complete her foundation degree in Early Childhood Studies.
